Toronto, CANADA – (May, 2010)
SilverBirch Mobile has today announced that it is initiating efforts to port a number of its existing mobile game titles to current generation devices, beginning with the iPhone and iPad. The company hinted that it intends to differentiate its games through a more community-focused gaming approach, utilizing technologies and platforms that are about to be released in the next versions of the iPhone operating system and hardware.
"This is an exciting milestone in SilverBirch's evolution on a number of levels", said company founder Kevin Birch. "SilverBirch has been through a significant period of transition over the last couple of years, but we've emerged stronger, wiser, and more focused on our core competencies as an independent developer and publisher of high quality mobile content."
SilverBirch Mobile has developed a number of highly successful mobile game titles since its inception in 2005, including a suite of proprietary casual games and branded titles for top-tier movie properties such as Constantine, Batman Begins, and Superman Returns, among others. The first iPhone ports of SilverBirch game properties are expected to be available to consumers in Q3 of 2010.
